Lily was a kind girl who lived in a colourful neighbourhood with flowers and trees. Every afternoon, the kids in her street played together at the park. They ran, jumped, and climbed, but Lily couldn’t play like them.

Lily used a wheelchair to move around. It had shiny silver wheels and a bright red seat. She loved her wheelchair because it took her everywhere, but sometimes she felt sad. She couldn’t run or climb like the other kids.

Lily loved being outside, but she often sat on the side, watching the others play. The kids liked Lily, but they didn’t know how to include her in their games.

Do you think Lily wanted to play with the other kids?

One sunny day, a new girl named Emma moved into the neighbourhood. Emma was full of energy and loved to play tag. When she saw Lily sitting alone, she walked over.

“Why don’t you play with us?” Emma asked.

“I can’t run like you,” Lily said quietly, looking at her wheelchair.

Emma thought for a moment. Then she smiled. “What if we play a game where everyone stays sitting? Then we can all be the same!”

The kids listened to Emma’s idea, but one boy said, “That doesn’t sound as fun as running.”

Lily smiled at Emma for being so kind, but she wasn’t sure the others would enjoy a sitting game.

Do you think Emma will keep trying to find a game for everyone?

Emma didn’t give up. Every day, she tried a new game. They played ball, but it rolled too fast for Lily. They tried guessing games, but the other kids got bored.

Still, Emma kept trying. Lily felt happy that Emma wanted to include her. Soon, the other kids started helping Emma think of ideas too. They were learning how to make sure everyone could play.

Should Emma keep trying to include Lily or should she let the kids go back to their usual games?
