On Saturday, Nick arrives at the party and sees his classmates playing in Maria’s garden. When they notice him, they invite him to be the referee for their game. While Nick still feels sad that he can’t play like the other kids, he’s glad they found a role he can do even with his hand in a cast. This makes him feel included and a little happier.
